LISA LIES é o som de uma Lisboa que não cabe nos postais.

Formado por Dikas, juntamente com amigos de longa data, César Correia, Rúben Garção Silva, André Gomes e Pedro Rodrigues, LISA LIES é um coletivo criado pelas contradições de uma das cidades mais romantizadas da Europa: bonita, inquieta e impossível de definir.

O som da banda não foi pensado para misturar géneros. Lisboa já o tinha feito por eles.

Big Beat, Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop e Eletrónica não são influências. São línguas maternas, faladas por músicos que vivem numa cidade onde culturas diferentes se cruzam, coexistem e se transformam constantemente.

O resultado é um universo sonoro carregado de groove e de imagens cinematográficas. Música capaz de encher uma pista de dança sem deixar de ter profundidade. Familiar o suficiente para nos mover, imprevisível o suficiente para permanecer connosco.

LISA LIES is the sound of a Lisbon that won’t fit on a postcard.

Formed by Dikas alongside longtime friends César Correia, Rúben Garção Silva, André Gomes and Pedro Rodrigues, LISA LIES is a collective shaped by the contradictions of one of Europe’s most romanticised cities: beautiful, restless and impossible to define.

The band’s sound wasn’t conceived as a blend of genres. Lisbon had already done that for them.

Big Beat, Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop and Electronica aren’t influences. They’re mother tongues, spoken by musicians living in a city where different cultures constantly intersect, coexist and transform one another.

“We’re the result of the fusion Lisbon offers. A city where Africa, Brazil, Europe and America share the same street corner. The music sounds like Lisbon, even if Lisbon never sounds quite like just this.” — Dikas

The result is a sonic universe steeped in groove and cinematic imagery. Music that can fill a dancefloor without losing its depth. Familiar enough to move us, unpredictable enough to stay with us.
